Refugees in the camp on Samos have to stand in line for up to five hours to get food that is completely inedible. Jessica Nichols is one of the co-founders of Project Armonia that provides healthy meals for those who are too old, too young or too frail to stand in line. „The food in the camp sometimes comes with bones, maggots or moulds. People start cueing at three in the morning to get breakfast, or stay hungry.“ In Project Armonia’s restaurant those most in need get freshly-cooked, nourishing meals. A moment of dignity where refugees are treated as human beings.
